Yarmouth Sets June 24 Special Town Meeting After Citizen Petition

YARMOUTH — Residents have nine days to review the warrant before a Special Town Meeting convenes June 24, called in response to a citizen petition and representing the most consequential civic event on the town's near-term calendar.

TOWN HALL

Yarmouth is carrying a standing News Alert on its official website directing residents to the June 24 Special Town Meeting. The meeting was triggered by a citizen petition; the Select Board reviewed, approved, and executed the warrant at its May 20 session. The full warrant is posted at yarmouth.ma.us for public review ahead of the gathering.

Also reaching its conclusion today: a stretch of construction work at the town's Disposal Area that has caused access delays since June 8. Drivers who encountered slowdowns at the facility over the past week should find conditions returned to normal as of June 15.
