Patuisset Beach Closed as Bourne Posts Three Urgent Summer Notices
Patuisset Beach is temporarily off-limits for swimming and water activities, the town announced, making it the most urgent item for residents heading into the weekend.
TOWN HALL
The town has closed Patuisset Beach to swimming and all water activities, according to a News Flash posted to the town website. No reopening date was specified in the announcement; residents should check the town's Bourne Alerts system for updates before heading out.
Starting Monday, June 29, the intersection of Barlows Landing Road and Shore Road will convert to a four-way stop. Drivers who regularly use that crossing should plan accordingly beginning this weekend.
The town is also seeking applicants to fill a vacancy for Town Meeting Moderator. Letters of interest must be submitted by July 9, 2026, and the appointment will serve until the next Annual Election.
Finally, a reminder that a Community Needs Assessment Survey targeting residents aged 60 and older remains open through July 1. Seniors have just a few days left to make their voices heard on local needs.
