Bourne Community Splash Pad Set to Open at Buzzards Bay Park June 19
BOURNE — The Bourne Community Splash Pad at Buzzards Bay Park will open for the season on June 19, the town announced Friday, giving families a free outdoor water destination just as a slate of school year-end events fills the next week's calendar.

The interactive splash pad at Buzzards Bay Park is back for summer on June 19. The town's News Flash invites families to cool off and enjoy the water features throughout the season; no admission is charged.
Tomorrow, Saturday, June 13, the town's Recycling Committee is hosting a Bourne Neighborhood Clean Up from 10 a.m. to noon. Volunteers are welcome to show up and help keep community spaces tidy.
Also ongoing: Bourne is partnering with UMass Boston on a Community Needs Assessment aimed at residents aged 60 and older. The survey, open through July 1, covers senior programs, policies, and services, and can be completed online or by mail. Organizers say responses will directly shape the design of future programs.
SCHOOLS
Bourne Intermediate School's KKids chapter holds a car wash Saturday, June 13, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the school. Field Day season begins next week, starting with Grade 3 on Monday, June 15, followed by Grade 4 on Tuesday, June 16, and Grade 5 on Wednesday, June 17.
The ParentChild+ program at Bournedale Elementary School marks its Graduation Celebration on Monday, June 15, from 5 to 6 p.m. The Bourne Middle School Spring Choral Concert is set for Tuesday, June 16, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Also on June 17, the district calendar flags an English Learner Celebration from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., and notes that date as the 180th day of school — the original scheduled last day, which the calendar indicates has since been moved.
