Patuisset Beach Closed; Town Holds Marina Improvement Meeting Today
Bourne kicked off Wednesday with a swimming closure at Patuisset Beach and a public meeting on improvements to Monument Beach Marina scheduled for this afternoon.
TOWN HALL
Patuisset Beach is temporarily closed for swimming and water activities, the town announced via its News Flash feed. No timeline for reopening was given. Swimmers and families planning a midweek beach day should choose an alternative until the closure is lifted.
Also today, the town is holding a public meeting on the Monument Beach Marina improvement project at 4:30 p.m. at Bourne Middle School. Residents with an interest in the marina's future are encouraged to attend.
The town is also seeking Letters of Interest to fill a vacancy for Town Meeting Moderator. The position will be filled until the next Annual Election, and the application deadline is July 9, 2026.
Finally, Bourne is partnering with UMass Boston on a Community Needs Assessment survey targeting residents aged 60 and older. The survey is open through July 1 and can be completed online or by mail. Responses will directly inform the design of future senior programs, policies, and services.
