Patuisset Beach is temporarily closed to swimmers and water-goers, the town announced, while drivers should prepare for a new four-way stop at Barlows Landing Road and Shore Road taking effect Sunday.

The town posted three News Flash items in this cycle. Most immediately affecting residents: Patuisset Beach is closed for swimming and all water activities until further notice. No cause was specified in the announcement; residents should check the town's alert system before heading out.

Starting Monday, June 29, the intersection of Barlows Landing Road and Shore Road will convert to a four-way stop. Drivers who regularly use that crossing should plan accordingly this weekend.

The town is also accepting Letters of Interest to fill the vacant position of Town Meeting Moderator, with a deadline of July 9, 2026. Anyone interested in serving in that appointed role should submit materials to the town ahead of that cutoff.

Additionally, the town's Community Needs Assessment Survey for residents aged 60 and older remains open through July 1. Seniors who have not yet responded have just a few days left to weigh in.
