Falmouth Sewer Project Adds Second Road Closure Starting June 29
FALMOUTH — With the Fourth of July ten days out, Falmouth heads into midweek juggling active sewer construction detours, a Level 2 Significant Drought declaration, and a packed library calendar — while Falmouth Patch is pointing residents toward the town's July 4 parade and fireworks lineup.
TOWN HALL
Road work tied to the town's ongoing sewer project continues to reshape commutes this week. Brick Kiln Road between Sandwich Road and Oxbow Road has been closed since June 22, with weekday closures running 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. A second closure begins Sunday, June 29: Maravista Avenue Extension between Route 28 and Mattapan Street will also close on the same daily schedule. Both closures are expected to remain in place through July 27.
Separately, the town remains under a Level 2 Significant Drought, updated June 17. Residents are encouraged to follow water-conservation guidance currently posted on the town website. The town's spring lawn care advisory remains active alongside that drought notice.
Looking ahead on the municipal calendar, the Zoning Board of Appeals holds a public hearing Thursday, June 25, and the Select Board meets Monday, June 29.
COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Falmouth Garden Club meets at the Main Branch Friday, June 26, at 10 a.m.
