Sandwich Soccer Club announces grade-based registration will continue for Fall 2026, with an early-bird discount available through mid-July.
SANDWICH -- The Sandwich Soccer Club carried the week's most actionable sports news, reporting that the South Coast Soccer League has decided to retain grade-based player registration rather than shifting to the age-based system proposed by US Youth Soccer. The SSC announced the league's reversal on June 8, and families can now register for the Fall 2026 season through August 7. Players who sign up before July 15 will save $25 on the registration fee.
TOWN -- The Sandwich Recreation Department continues to list several upcoming programs on its portal, including a Summer Baseball Clinic, Summer Golf, and a community cycling program called RideAway. Registration for all programs is available through the department's MyRec online portal. Oak Crest Cove Park on Quaker Meetinghouse Road offers a skate park, two tennis courts, and six pickleball courts; court reservations can be made by calling 508-888-4361.
YOUTH LEAGUES -- Beyond the soccer registration news, Sandwich Youth Basketball and Sandwich Youth Lacrosse websites were active but posted no new program updates or results for this period.
